It was business as usual on Sunday for New York Yankees right-hander Masahiro Tanaka, who hardly looked like a man who hadn't pitched in the big leagues in over two months.
Tanaka allowed one run off five hits and struck out four Toronto Blue Jays in 5 1/3 innings of work, before surrendering the ball to the bullpen after reaching his 70-pitch limit.
The 25-year-old had been sidelined since July 8 after suffering a torn elbow ligament, that he opted to rest rather than undergo surgery.
Tanaka is scheduled to make one more start this season.
