Cubs activate Edwin Jackson from15-day DL; will start Friday vs. Dodgers
Chicago Cubs right-hander Edwin Jackson (back) has been activated from the 15-day DL and will start Friday against the Dodgers, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports.
Analysis:
Jackson has been held out of action for nearly a month, and will return to square off against Clayton Kershaw and a tough Dodger lineup. The plan was for Jackson to make at least one more start this season, and last weekend's bullpen session confirmed his health for Friday. The 31-year-old righty has had a rough 2014 season, posting a 6.09 ERA and losing 14 games for the last-place Cubs.
