The Philadelphia Phillies are hoping injured shortstop Jimmy Rollins can make a return to the lineup at some point this weekend during a three-game series with the Oakland Athletics, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Rollins, who has been out since Sept. 8 with a strained left hamstring, tested the injury without any setbacks Thursday.
The 35-year-old has seen a resurgence in power with 17 home runs and 55 RBIs through 138 games, however, Rollins is hitting a career-low .243 while reaching the century mark in strikeouts for just the fourth time in 15 seasons and the first since 2003.
