Angels' Weaver scratched from start Thursday vs. Mariners

Los Angeles Angels right-hander Jered Weaver has been scratched from his scheduled start Thursday against the Mariners, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis:
With the Angels wrapping up the AL West crown Wednesday night, manager Mike Scioscia has decided to reward Weaver, and likely most of his starters, with some extra rest. Lefty Wade LeBlanc, who was expected to start Saturday in place of Matt Shoemaker (oblique), will now toe the rubber Thursday opposite Felix Hernandez. It's uncertain when Weaver will start next, but it will probably be either Sunday or Monday, as he would then be lined up to start Game 1 of the ALDS on Oct. 2.
