Analysis:
A torn fingernail resulted in an abbreviated outing for Carroll his last time out, but team trainer Herm Schneider thinks the right-hander will be fine to toe the rubber this weekend against Tampa Bay. Carroll held the Rays to one earned run on six hits over 7.1 innings in his first start of the season (April 27).
