Ortiz returns to Red Sox lineup Wednesday vs. Blue Jays

The Boston Red Sox welcomed back slugger David Ortiz to the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ortiz has yet to appear in a game since leaving Sunday's contest versus the Seattle Mariners after fouling a pitch off his foot.

The 38-year-old designated hitter has 30 home runs this year - one shy of his most since 2010 - but owns his lowest hitting line (.265/.362/.524) in five seasons.
