VIDEO: Fan wearing popcorn tub as hat takes foul ball to the head, falls on field
It's always important to come prepared when you sit in the front row at a baseball game. That includes keeping your eye on the ball at all times and taking the appropriate safety precautions.
This Nationals fan certainly did the latter, wearing a popcorn bucket on his head during Washington's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday night.
As it turns out, the popcorn tub may have prevented a serious head injury on this Bryce Harper foul ball in the sixth inning:

Perfect timing, really, as Diamondbacks analyst Bob Brenly tries to remember something unrelated "off the top of my head" right as the ball strikes the fan in the protective headgear.
Who knows why this fan decided to wear the container, which presumably contained popcorn and plenty of butter at one point. Maybe he's a big fan of this guitar virtuoso.
