1931 - Ruth hits No. 600

New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth becomes the first major leaguer to hit 600 home runs in an 11-7 win over the St. Louis Browns.

The 36-year-old slugger hits the career milestone off right-hander George Blaeholder at Sportsman's Park.

2010 - Tony Plush throws ball at a fan

After being heckled by a Philadelphia Phillies fan at Citizens Bank Park, Washington Nationals center fielder Nyjer Morgan throws a ball into the outfield seats and hits a different fan in the head.

Four days later, Morgan receives a seven-game suspension for his 'inappropriate' actions.

Not too Plush, Tony.

2013 - Ichiro collects 4,000th hit

Ichiro Suzuki becomes Mr. 4000, joining Ty Cobb and Pete Rose as the only players to reach 4,000 career hits.

The New York Yankees outfielder compiles more hits in his 13 major league seasons than any other player within the same amount of time. The veteran previously tallied 1,278 hits with the Orix BlueWave in Japan before joining the Seattle Mariners in 2001.
