The Cleveland Indians could soon have a vacancy at shortstop, as the club is reportedly prepared to trade incumbent Asdrubal Cabrera, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
Perception of the Indians continues to be that they are ready to move Asdrubal Cabrera, as written last week, and Justin Masterson.

An impending free agent, Cabrera's tenure in Cleveland is poised to end shortly regardless, but dealing the 28-year-old in advance of Thursday's non-waiver trade dealine would create an opportunity for top prospect Francisco Lindor, who's widely considered among the game's foremost minor leaguers.
Cabrera, a two-time All-Star, is hitting .249/.309/.392 (99 OPS+) with nine home runs and seven stolen bases through 95 games this season.
