Phillies' Ruiz will begin rehab assignment at High-A Clearwater on Thursday

Carlos Ruiz is set to participate in a weekend series with High-A Clearwater and could re-join the Philadelphia Phillies' lineup next week, per Matt Gelb of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Ruiz was placed on the seven-day disabled list on June 27 after experiencing concussion-like symptoms.
The 35-year-old backstop is batting .257 this season with just two home runs and 14 RBI in 230 plate appearances.
