The Toronto Blue Jays will be without the services of infielder Brett Lawrie for at least two weeks, as they announced Monday that he will be placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Lawire suffered a fractured right index finger in Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds after being hit in the hand by a pitch.
The 24-year-old had been enjoying a breakout season prior to the injury, hitting a career-high 12 home runs in 69 games while batting .244/.299/.419 and splitting time between third base and second.
