Brett Lawrie: (Hand) Leaves Sunday After HBP

Lawrie was removed from Sunday's game after he was struck in the right hand by a pitch, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports.

Analysis:

It's the third time Lawrie has been hit on the hand during the current road trip, though the previous two episodes occurred with the left hand. However, he appeared to be in significantly more pain Sunday than he had been the previous two times, and will likely undergo X-rays in the coming hours to determine the full extent of the damage. Steve Tolleson came on to replace Lawrie at second base in the contest.
