Pirates claim Wirfin Obispo off waivers from Braves

Before being showcased in primetime against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates added to their pitching depth with a waiver claim from the Atlanta Braves. 

Wirfin Obispo spent four seasons as a farmhand with the Cincinnati Reds before moving onto the Braves' organization last season. He owns a sub-3.00 ERA in 258 1/3 minor-league innings.
