Despite LaTroy Hawkins' recent struggles, Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss doesn't seem particularly concerned about the 41-year-old's performance, reports Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post.

"I look at the body of work for the whole season," Weiss said Wednesday. "He's had a couple of tough ones the last couple of times out, but I think his stuff is still intact. I think some of his pitches have been elevated, and that's got him in trouble. But his velocity is the same. The action is the same. Location is what it usually comes down to."

Hawkins, a 20-year veteran, has surrendered at least one run in three consecutive outings, blowing his first save of the season on Sunday against the San Diego Padres. Though his velocity remains comparable to last season, Hawkins has managed just an 8.2 percent strikeout rate in 2014, the second-worst mark among relievers.

"I don't care what people say," Hawkins said. "If I cared what people say, I'd be gone a long time ago," he said. "I'm getting the job done more times than I don't."
