The Los Angeles Dodgers are down big early in the contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but outfielder Yasiel Puig put them on the board with a 2-run home run off Chase Anderson to extend his hitting streak to 16-games.
With the extra base hit, Puig put himself into some pretty good company.
Puig's 8 game streak with extra base hit and RBI is longest in MLB since Evan Longoria in Sept. 2009. Ties LA record with 8game RBI streak

Yasiel Puig is en fuego, JONRON! A 16-game hitting streak, 8 consecutive games with an extra base hit -- the most in L.A. Dodger history.

Puig is now hitting .429 (27-for-63) with five doubles, six home runs and 19 RBIs during the streak. Impressive.
