Josh Reddick's recent surge is powered by Wham!.
The hirsute Oakland A's outfielder has caught fire since adopting the English pop duo's 1984 hit "Careless Whisper" as his walk-up music, going 4-for-7 with a home run as the team finds themselves amid a six game winning streak.

“It’s escalated a lot more than I thought it would,” Reddick told The San Francisco Gate about his choice in music. ‘It takes everything in my body to hold back a smile – in the eighth, when it didn’t happen and they started booing, that was pretty happy.”
Should Reddick eventually find himself embroiled in a lengthy slump, he can always dip into George Michael's solo catalog, but until then, his teammates are happy to roll with "Careless Whisper".
“I love it, I told him that, ‘Dude, I am digging it,’ ” said A's first baseman Brandon Moss “And he can pull it off, I don’t know why, it suits him very well. It’s a great song. It’s awesome, because it’s so unexpected, but also it’s something to laugh at and enjoy every single time.”
