White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu's mythical first month in the majors reached its climax Friday, as he drove a walk-off grand slam off Grant Balfour into the bullpen at U.S. Cellular Field to lift Chicago over the Tampa Bay Rays 9-6.

It was the second of Abreu's two home runs on the night, an outburst that moves him into a tie with Albert Pujols for the league lead in home runs, and distinguishes him in baseball's storied history.
