It's been 3,468 days since Major League Baseball was last played at Stade Olympique in Montreal.
Friday night, the Mets and the Blue Jays will take on an exhibition game on the new turf inside the former home of the Montreal Expos.
Here's what happened on Sept. 29, 2004, when the Marlins took down the Expos, 9-1.

- All-Star Marlins pitcher Carl Pavano won his 18th game.
- Expos' Jamey Carroll and Endy Chavez pinch-hit for pitcher Sun-Woo Kim. Carroll (Nationals) and Chavez (Seattle) were both released by their respective clubs this spring.
- Rookie shortstop Maicer Izturis went 0-for-4 for Montreal, batting second. Izturis returns to the stadium Friday night, nearly a decade later as a Blue Jay.
- Florida's Juan Pierre played his 158th game en route to playing 162 games for the second consecutive season. He finally stopped playing in every single game for the first time in 2008. Pierre returned to the Marlins in 2013 for a 113-game season.
- Umpire Ted Barrett worked second base, and Alfonso Marquez (in his first season in the majors) worked third in the Marlins game at Montreal. Barrett is now Marquez's crew chief.
- All-Star outfielder Miguel Cabrera, 21, hits his 32nd home run. His salary that season: $320,000. In 2014, Cabrera inks a $248-million, eight-year extension with the Detroit Tigers.
- Marlins backup catcher Mike Redmond has the day off in Montreal. Nearly a decade later, he's reunited with Juan Pierre - this time as the manager of the Miami Marlins.
- Luis Castillo, who spent the later years of his career (2007-10) with the Mets, goes 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI for the Marlins.
- It's an American League Manager of the Year vs. a National League Manager of the Year battle: Marlins' Jack McKeon won the NL honor in 1999 and 2003, and the Expos' Frank Robinson won the AL's award as the skip for the Orioles in 1989.
