Baltimore is the next stop on Delmon Young's baseball journey:
Young spent 2013 with the Phillies and Rays, hitting .260/.307/.407 in 103 games, with 11 home runs and 38 RBI. He has a career 96 wRC+, so is a below-average hitter who doesn't bring much more than some power. He's a nightmare defensively -- we're not even going to get into his defensive stats, they're that bad.
Young is only 28 years old, unbelievably, somehow, and could be considered a long-shot candidate for the Orioles' designated hitter job.
Young has a career 115 wRC+ against left-handed pitching in his career. Used probably in a platoon situation, he could help.
