Boston's bullpen is reportedly getting some reinforcements (though really, does it even need it?)
The Red Sox have picked up former Cardinals closer Edward Mujica on a two-year, $9.5 million deal, sources told Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports.
Mujica, 29, saved 37 games last season with a 2.78 ERA. He was not used against the Red Sox at all in the World Series, and made just two appearances in St. Louis' October run.
The deal is pending a Thursday physical.
