Dates set for Blue Jays' Montreal exhibition games

For a brief moment, major league baseball will return to Montreal, as the Blue Jays will play a pair of games against the New York Mets at Olympic Stadium next March 28 and 29, according to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith.

“We are excited about seeing the Blue Jays play in Montreal, and giving amateur players from Montreal the chance to see MLB games once again,” Toronto Blue Jays team president Paul Beeston said in a press release. “Knowing the love and passion of amateur baseball players in Quebec, this experience will undoubtedly be emotional for many.”

“Being from Montreal myself, I am convinced that this two-game series will be a memorable event,” Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said. “I started my career in the Expos organization and attended numerous games at Olympic Stadium. It will be electrifying to see the stadium vibrate with the rhythm of MLB once again.”
