theScore's mock HOF ballot: We vote 3 players in, our users shut out class

With the 2024 Baseball Hall of Fame class set to be announced on Tuesday, 13 of theScore's news editors submitted mock ballots revealing which players they believe are worthy of enshrinement in Cooperstown. We also have the results of our user ballot at the bottom of the article.

Inducted

Our panel of judges elected three members into the Hall of Fame. Adrián Beltré leads the class, receiving all but one vote in his first year on the ballot. He's joined by fellow first-timer Joe Mauer as well as Todd Helton, who's in his sixth year of eligibility. Helton fell one vote shy of election on our ballot last season.

Missed the cut

Carlos Beltran, Billy Wagner, Andruw Jones, Alex Rodriguez, and Manny Ramirez all fall one vote short of election. It's the second straight year in which Beltran, Rodriguez, and Jones miss by a single vote on our ballot.

For the second straight year, our users opted not to elect anyone into the Hall of Fame. No player received close to the necessary 75% of the vote from 2,509 user ballots.
