All seven players who received a qualifying offer declined the $20.325-million salary for the 2024 campaign.

Shohei Ohtani, Cody Bellinger, Matt Chapman, Aaron Nola, Blake Snell, Josh Hader and Sonny Gray will now be attached to draft-pick compensation.

Matt Chapman 3B Blue Jays
Aaron Nola SP Phillies
Blake Snell SP Padres
Josh Hader RP Padres
Sonny Gray SP Twins

Teams are entitled to draft-pick compensation in 2024 if a free agent who received a qualifying offer signs elsewhere. The draft pick is determined by a number of factors, including the value of the contract signed, if the signing team exceeded the competitive balance tax in 2023, and if the teams receive revenue sharing.

Minnesota, for example, would receive a first-round pick as compensation if Gray signs elsewhere for at least $50 million, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic.
