Richards was coming off a stellar start against the Mariners in which he threw 7.1 shutout innings. He has been inconsistent since he re-joined the rotation for the Angels, but at times has shown potential and ability to throw deep into games. Richards will have a chance to redeem himself in his next start Monday as he faces the Rays again, but this time at home.
