Lorenzo Cain will join the Kansas City Royals one last time for a retirement ceremony held at Kauffman Stadium on May 6.

Cain, 36, announced his retirement in early March, ending an illustrious 13-year career for the two-time All-Star and World Series champion.

The former ALCS MVP spent the first seven years of his career in Kansas City, hitting .289/.342/.421 with 56 homers and 120 stolen bases while patrolling center field. He ranks ninth in WAR in the franchise's history, according to Baseball Reference.

During his two postseason appearances with the Royals, Cain went 36-for-122 with one homer, 19 RBIs, and eight steals, playing an integral role in the team's 2014 AL pennant and 2015 championship.
