The Seattle Mariners and outfielder AJ Pollock agreed to a one-year, $7-million deal, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Pollock spent the 2022 campaign with the Chicago White Sox, hitting .245/.292/.389 with 14 home runs, 26 doubles, and 56 RBIs in 138 games. It was the former All-Star's least productive season of his career.

Prior to last season, Pollock was an effective member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, slashing .282/.337/.519 with 52 homers, 150 RBIs, and 16 steals in 258 games. The Connecticut native also spent the first seven years of his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Pollock gives Seattle's lineup a potent offensive weapon against left-handed pitching. The veteran outfielder owns a .868 career OPS against southpaws.
