The New York Yankees may have a trade partner for Joey Gallo.

New York's front office has discussed the outfielder with the Milwaukee Brewers, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.

The Brewers' outfielders have combined for a 99 wRC+ and struggled defensively with a minus-15.2 defensive rating, according to FanGraphs.

Milwaukee employs an outfield of Christian Yelich, Hunter Renfroe, Tyrone Taylor, and Jonathan Davis.

Gallo became expendable after the Yankees acquired Andrew Benintendi from the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Benintendi, like Gallo, is a left-handed hitter who can share the outfield with Aaron Judge, Aaron Hicks, and Giancarlo Stanton.

Gallo has struggled during his tenure with the Yankees, slashing .159/.291/.368 with 25 home runs and 46 RBIs in 140 games after a strong seven-year run with the Texas Rangers.

Despite his poor performance at the plate, Gallo maintains strong defensive numbers, amassing 39 defensive runs saved throughout his career.

On Thursday, the 28-year-old admitted his time in the Bronx has been disappointing.

"I feel bad," he told The Athletic's Lindsey Adler. "It's something I'm gonna have to really live with for the rest of my life. It's going to be tough. I didn't play well, I didn't live up to expectations. And that's a tough pill to swallow."
