D-Backs help fan track down friend on date in stands
When you want surveillance on how your friend's date is going, you call the Arizona Diamondbacks.
While the D-Backs were hosting the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, one fan wanted to do some reconnaissance on his buddy in the stands who was out with a girl.
With a rough estimate on where the couple was seated, Twitter user "BuckArmy" reached out to Arizona's account for assistance:
Hey @Dbacks my roommate is on a date 6 rows above home plate. Any chance we could tell the camera man to zoom out a bit so I can see how it’s going???

At first unable to help, the club suggested contacting the broadcast team instead. However, the team's interest was piqued, and the account quickly lent a hand, asking what the couple were wearing:
He’s wearing a red Dbacks spring training shirt and I think the girl is wearing green.. I really hope he didn’t lie about his seats

Unfortunately, neither the team nor broadcast could locate the couple. However, an error in the expected seating arrangement seemingly caused the problem.

After BuckArmy shared his friend's location with the Diamondbacks, the broadcast team, and everyone else on Twitter, it was just a matter of time before the couple wound up on the jumbotron.

Regardless of how it went, it's now certainly a very memorable date.
