The Arizona Diamondbacks have traded right-handed reliever Jeremy Beasley to the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations, the teams announced Thursday.

Arizona designated Beasley for assignment earlier this week after he allowed two hits over one-third of an inning. He's been optioned to the Jays' alternate site.

Toronto transferred Thomas Hatch to the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move, freeing up space on the club's 40-man roster.

Beasley made his major-league debut this season with the Diamondbacks after coming through the Los Angeles Angels' minor-league system. The 25-year-old faced three batters against the Colorado Rockies on April 11, allowing back-to-back hits before striking out Trevor Story to end the inning.

Across two minor-league levels in 2019 as a starter, Beasley authored a 4.49 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 122 1/3 innings.
