Sabathia: 'If I'm Blake Snell, get me out of' Tampa
CC Sabathia doesn't think highly of Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash's decision to remove Blake Snell from Game 6 of the World Series after the pitcher allowed two hits on 72 pitches.
If it happened to him, Sabathia might have pushed for a trade.

"If I'm Blake Snell, like bruh, get me out of there," Sabathia said on The Ringer's "R2C2" podcast. "Get me somewhere where I can show what I can do."
Snell was visibly upset when Cash came out of the dugout in the sixth inning to call on reliever Nick Anderson with the tying run on base. Anderson surrendered the lead, and the Rays ultimately lost the game and series to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
A trade would likely be the only way out of town for the 2018 AL Cy Young winner. He's under contract through the 2023 season.
Cash defended the controversial move, which has been heavily criticized.
Sabathia, who allowed five earned runs in 13 2/3 innings (3.29 ERA) over two starts in his lone World Series, was adamantly against Cash's choice.
"Kevin Cash, we know probably made the worst managerial decision in World Series history," Sabathia said. "That was probably one of the worst calls I've ever seen in a deciding game, taking Blake Snell out."
Altogether, Snell allowed three runs on four hits and four walks with 18 strikeouts in 10 innings during the 2020 World Series.
