Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager was named the NLCS MVP following Sunday's 4-3 Game 7 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
Seager had a .310 batting average with a 1.23 OPS, an NLCS record five home runs, and 11 RBIs over the seven-game series.
Though he was hitless in the series finale, Seager was an indispensable force for the Dodgers' offense, getting a home run in each of their previous wins.
Seager entered the NLCS hot after batting .364/.467/.545 against the San Diego Padres in a three-game NLDS sweep, though he didn't go deep in the series.
It's a huge moment for the 26-year-old who battled various injuries after bursting onto the scene. He won the 2016 NL Rookie of the Year and was named to consecutive All-Star teams in 2016-17.
Fully healthy, Seager had a resurgent 2020 by batting .307 with 15 home runs in 52 regular-season games. He managed to carry that success into the postseason en route to the Dodgers' third trip to the World Series in four years.
