The New York Yankees removed slugger Aaron Judge in the sixth inning during Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves after experiencing calf tightness while running the bases, manager Aaron Boone said following the game, according to Lindsey Adler of The Athletic.

It was his first game back from a stint on the 10-day injured list due to a calf injury.

Boone added that a return to the IL is a possibility, according to Erik Boland of Newsday Sports.

Brett Gardner entered in the bottom of the sixth to play left field, and Clint Frazier shifted over to right. Judge struck out in the top of the frame.

Judge, 28, had been sidelined since Aug. 11.

The two-time All-Star has hit .292/.343/.738 with nine homers through 18 contests.
