Major League Baseball broadcasters won't be joining their teams on the road for the 2020 season.

All announcers have reportedly been told they will be calling road games from either a local studio or their home ballparks, according to Bruce Levine of 670 The Score.

Broadcasters will rely on television monitors in order to call the action.

It's the latest change designed to ensure social distancing practices are upheld once games return amid the coronavirus pandemic.

MLB and the MLBPA remain at odds over negotiations for the upcoming season, so there is no specific date for a new Opening Day.
