With the 20th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Garrett Mitchell, an outfielder out of UCLA.
Baseball America ranked Mitchell sixth among all draft-eligible prospects.
Arguably the draft's best five-tool prospect, Mitchell was a highly touted recruit out of high school, too. However, a sustained slump and Type 1 diabetes diagnosis caused his stock to plummet, and the Oakland Athletics selected him in the 14th round in 2017.
Still, Mitchell doesn't see playing with diabetes as being much of a challenge.
"I put myself in the best situation every day when I go on the field," he said, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
After making good on his commitment to UCLA, Mitchell became one of the most polished all-around players in this year's class.
