Genesis Ozuna, the wife of Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Genesis allegedly struck her husband, who suffered facial lacerations, with a soap dish in May.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges after being booked at Miami-Dade jail on May 29, according to court records.
Those records also show that an initial order to maintain distance has also been requested to be modified.
Ozuna, the 29-year-old outfielder, drove to a nearby police station to report the attack, according to Andy Slater of FoxSports640.
Ozuna signed a one-year, $18-million contract with the Braves this offseason after spending the last two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals.
