The Washington Nationals conquered the Houston Astros to win the 2019 World Series, but it's easy to forget how close they were to going home much earlier.
Squaring off against the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL wild-card game, the Nationals trailed by a pair entering the bottom of the eighth against otherworldly reliever Josh Hader. The Nats rallied with the chips stacked against them, with the help of Trent Grisham's misplay on Juan Soto's two-out, bases-loaded single.
On Sunday, Major League Baseball livestreamed the game that kick-started Washington's first trip to the Fall Classic.
