Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is paying it forward.
The veteran will donate $1,000 to each of the approximately 200 players in the team's farm system, the Rangers confirmed Wednesday.
Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that it would pay all minor leaguers $400 per week - plus medical benefits - through at least the end of May or the beginning of the regular season, whichever comes first.
An All-Star in 2018, the 37-year-old Choo is earning $21 million in the final year of a seven-year, $130-million contract with the Rangers.
