The Washington Nationals acquired right-hander Ryne Harper from the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday, the team announced.
In exchange for the 30-year-old, the Twins received minor-league pitcher Hunter McMahon, reports Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post.
Harper went 4-2 with a 3.81 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings in his rookie campaign with the Twins.
He was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 37th round of the 2011 draft.
McMahon, 21, was a ninth-round pick of the Nationals in 2019. He went a combined 2-1 with a 0.71 ERA in nine contests in the lower levels of the minors last season after appearing in 17 college games for Texas State University.
