The Milwaukee Brewers and reliever David Phelps agreed to a one-year contract, pending a physical, sources told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

The pact includes a club option for 2021, according to Feinsand.

Phelps, 33, missed all of 2018 following Tommy John surgery but came back strong last season. The right-hander posted a 3.41 ERA in 41 appearances between the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs.

The veteran hurler has also pitched for the New York Yankees, Miami Marlins, and Seattle Mariners during a seven-year career. His best campaign came in 2016 when he put up a 2.28 ERA while accruing an 11.8 K/9 rate with the Marlins.
