The Miami Marlins and veteran outfielder Matt Joyce have agreed to a contract, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Terms of the agreement are not yet known.
Joyce, 35, landed a deal for 2019 with the Atlanta Braves after spending spring training with the Cleveland Indians as a non-roster invite. The former All-Star wound up hitting .295/.408/.450 with seven home runs and 10 doubles over 238 plate appearances for Atlanta while acting as a bench bat.
The 12-year veteran owns a .775 career OPS but has been particularly productive against right-handed pitchers, authoring a .252/.354/.452 career slash line against righties.
