Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa made the unprecedented move to part ways with agent Greg Genske and join William Morris Endeavor, an agency that has no active baseball players on its roster and does not currently employ a certified sports agent, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

The agency is seeking certification from the MLBPA, Feinsand adds.

WME's Jon Rosen, who is expected to be Correa's lead agent, apparently represented three-time MVP Alex Rodriguez and broadcaster Matt Vasgersian in their deals with ESPN. The two currently share a booth during Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts.

A-Rod has been advising Correa on his future, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Rosen also reportedly represents cooking show host Bobby Flay in addition to weatherman Al Roker.

The 24-year-old Correa has been on the injured list since Aug. 20 with a back issue. The former AL Rookie of the Year owns a .278/.358/.556 slash line with 19 home runs over 72 games this season. He'll be a free agent after the 2021 campaign.
