Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Nate Pearson is done with Double-A, as the 22-year-old is being promoted to Triple-A Buffalo, Carlos Collazo of Baseball America reports.

Pearson has recorded a 2.59 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 9.91 K/9 in 62 2/3 innings after graduating to Double-A earlier in the season.

The hard-throwing right-hander is currently MLB Pipeline's second-ranked prospect in the Blue Jays' system. He's listed at No. 14 in the top 100 overall.

A first-round pick in 2017, Pearson comes with plenty of fanfare as a potential future ace for the rebuilding Blue Jays. His fastball sits in the high 90s and occasionally touches triple digits.
