Baltimore Orioles left fielder DJ Stewart mistimed his slide in an attempt to catch a fly ball and suffered an injury as a result.
As Stewart skidded on the ground, the ball missed his glove and bounced off his head. Manager Brandon Hyde said after the game that the outfielder was diagnosed with a concussion, according to Joe Trezza of MLB.com.
New York Yankees first baseman Mike Ford was credited with a double on the play.
Stewart was later replaced by Jace Peterson.
