The Toronto Blue Jays have had two sons of former major leaguers graduate from their minor-league system this season in Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio, and a third would already be with the team if it was up to him.

"Yeah," Bo Bichette told David Singh of Sportsnet when asked if he deserves a promotion to the bigs. "I've done everything they asked me to do.

"I've performed, I've put up numbers. I've gotten better offensively, defensively, baserunning, as an athlete, as a teammate. Everything they've asked me to do, I've done for the past three years.

"So, if I'm not ready in their mind, there's something new that they need to tell me I need to get better at."

The interview comes shortly after Bichette - the son of four-time All-Star Dante - tweeted a vague message Sunday:

The 21-year-old infielder has since denied that the tweet was any sort of message to or about the franchise.

"I just had a game where I should have had four hits, but I only had one, so that's what I was talking about," Bichette told Singh.

Bichette, now the team's top prospect after the graduation of Vlad, is also the No. 8 farmhand in all of baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. He currently owns a .301/.361/.486 slash line with five home runs and 14 stolen bases in 44 games at Triple-A Buffalo this season.

"They said I was one of the best players in camp and just to continue to build on that and so that's what I've done," Bichette continued.

A natural middle infielder, Bichette is currently blocked by Eric Sogard at second base and Freddy Galvis at shortstop, with Biggio in the mix at second as well.

The 33-year-old Sogard is likely considered a trade chip during a remarkable breakout season. The journeyman has posted a .863 OPS with 10 homers and six steals.

Meanwhile, Galvis is also an option to be traded prior to the July 31 deadline. The 29-year-old was off to a hot start to the season but has cooled down substantially, hitting .269/.308/.457 with 15 dingers and four steals.
