Vanderbilt has won the 2019 College World Series after defeating Michigan 8-2 in a winner-take-all Game 3 on Wednesday in Omaha, Neb.

Right-hander Mason Hickman was masterful against the Wolverines, finishing with 10 strikeouts over six innings of one-run ball for Vanderbilt.

Catcher Philip Clarke had three hits in the win while outfielder Stephen Scott hit a big two-run single.

Michigan won Game 1 but Vanderbilt stormed back to take Game 2 thanks to an electric performance by ace Kumar Rocker, who became just the sixth freshman to win Most Outstanding Player at the CWS, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Rocker went 4-0 with 44 strikeouts and a 0.96 ERA in 28 innings during the tournament.

This is the second NCAA baseball championship for the No. 2-seeded Commodores after winning the school's first title in 2014.
