Atlanta Braves right-hander Mike Soroka might need a higher league to play in if he continues to dominate hitters like he has over his short MLB career.

After another seven sharp innings on Saturday against the Miami Marlins, the 21-year-old Canadian became the youngest pitcher with four straight starts of one earned run - or less - allowed to start a season since Fernando Valenzuela in 1981, according to MLB Stats.

With his performance, Soroka now has a 1.14 ERA. Dating back to 2018, he has allowed one earned run or fewer in seven of his last nine starts - a feat accomplished by just one other pitcher (Cisco Carlos, 1967-68) over the first nine games of his career, according to the team.

Soroka is now 3-1 on the season with a 1.01 WHIP and 27 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings.

The former first-round pick will have a chance to keep the momentum going when he takes on the Arizona Diamondbacks next week.
