Cleveland Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco left Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins with left knee discomfort after he collided with Miami's Neil Walker at first base during the fourth inning.

An MRI on Carrasco's knee came back negative, and he expects to make his next start, according to Mandy Bell of MLB.com.

Carrasco tumbled over the bag trying to field an errant throw from Indians first baseman Carlos Santana, causing Walker to collide with the pitcher as he overran the base. Carrasco limped around and threw warm-up pitches before staying in to get the frame's final out by retiring Starlin Castro. Neil Ramirez relieved him to start the fifth.

The 32-year-old had held the Marlins scoreless through the first four frames, allowing two hits and striking out four on 62 pitches.

Ramirez promptly allowed a home run on the first pitch of his relief appearance as Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro hit his fourth of the season to lead off the fifth inning.

Carrasco posted a 3.38 ERA and 2.94 FIP over 192 innings (30 starts) last season. The 2018 campaign marked the second consecutive season in which Carrasco threw at least 190 frames after running into freakish injury troubles in prior years; he was struck by a comebacker off the bat of Melky Cabrera in 2015 and was hit on the arm by a line drive from Joe Mauer in 2016.

Including Tuesday's abbreviated outing, Carrasco has authored a 6.00 ERA and 2.67 FIP over 21 innings to start the 2019 season.
