San Francisco Giants outfielder Cameron Maybin was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of DUI in Scottsdale, Ariz., police confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area on Tuesday.
"We are aware and are monitoring the situation and we have no further comment at this time," the Giants said in a statement.
The 31-year-old issued a statement from his Twitter account on Wednesday addressing his arrest.
Maybin signed a minor-league deal with San Francisco in mid-February. He's hit .105/.150/.158 across seven spring training games with his new team, appearing in three contests since the arrest.
