Mike Trout is still a member of the Los Angeles Angels, and that's the most information about his future that he's going to give.

Although he's just two years away from free agency, Trout refused to answer questions about whether he's open to signing another long-term deal with the Angels before he hits the open market after the 2020 season.

"I don't want to comment on that," Trout said at Angels camp on Monday, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. "But like I said, I enjoy it here. I'm having fun. Obviously, losing is not fun, but I enjoy playing this game. I leave it out on the field every night, every day, and I go from there."

When asked if he and the Angels have had any talks about another extension, Trout stated: "I'm not going to talk about that. Just trying to come in and get ready for spring, get ready for the season. I don't want to comment on that."

The 27-year-old Trout signed a six-year, $144.5-million extension with the Angels after winning his first MVP award on a 98-win team in 2014. But while Trout's been his usual brilliant self since then, the Angels haven't made the playoffs since he signed the extension, and they've only reached October once in his eight-year career. Last season marked their third straight losing campaign.

The Angels' scuffling on the field has led to occasional rumblings that Trout, a New Jersey native and noted fan of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, wants to return home and join the Phillies in two years. His Philadelphia connections were a subject of discussion on Monday, but Trout wouldn't bite on the topic.

"I don't think I went a day this offseason without someone asking, 'Hey when are you coming to Philly?'" Trout said. "I can't predict the future."

Last year, Trout slashed .312/.460/.628 with 39 homers, 79 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, and 101 runs over 140 games for the Angels.
