The Colorado Rockies may not be ready to wave goodbye to Carlos Gonzalez after all.

Colorado is reportedly interested in bringing the 33-year-old back for an 11th season but is among several teams eyeing his services, Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports reports.

Gonzalez tested free agency after the 2017 campaign but didn't sign until the Rockies brought him back on a one-year, $8-million deal in early March. It was a significant loss for the outfielder since it was later revealed he had rejected a three-year extension worth as much as $45 million just one year earlier.

Once one of the most feared sluggers in the National League, the three-time All-Star has seen his offensive numbers dwindle in recent seasons. Over his last two campaigns, Gonzalez slashed .269/.334/.445 with 30 home runs and 66 doubles over 268 games.

His fit in Colorado isn't as obvious as it used to be. Charlie Blackmon, David Dahl, and Ian Desmond are projected to be the Rockies' starting outfielders for 2019 with Raimel Tapia also in the mix.

Desmond could shift to first base, though team recently signed Daniel Murphy for the job. Murphy does offer some defensive flexibility, having played as a second baseman for much of his career.
